Impact Fertilisers Tasmania employs a diverse workforce of approximately 125 employees within Tasmania and Victoria. We operate a manufacturing plant in Derwent Park, southern Tasmania, as well as a number of depots located across Tasmania and Victoria. Our corporate offices are based in Moonah, 7km outside Hobart CBD and a smaller office in Launceston.
Our plant is run on a 24/7 basis and produces between 150,000 and 200,000 tonne of single super-phosphate per year. Operators come from a range of backgrounds, ie labouring, farming or experience in a manufacturing environment. All operators are sponsored to complete a Cert III in Manufactured Mineral Products as part of their employment. There are also trades qualified maintenance workers; quality, environmental & engineering staff to support the production workers.
Our depots are based at Scottsdale, Brighton, Longford, King Island, Smithton, Burnie and Devonport within Tasmania and at Leongatha and Barry Beach in Victoria. Depot staff are responsible for the distribution of product to a specified customer base. Depot employees can have a background in warehousing, logistics and/or farm practices. Depot operators are encouraged to complete a Cert III in Warehousing and Distribution. Depots are supported by specialist agronomists based in our Launceston office.
We also have a Corporate Services team to support our business which consists of administration, accounts, sales and support staff.
